Ingredients:
- 1 sleeve of buttery crackers (like Club or Ritz)
- 8 slices of bacon, cut into thirds
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (optional, for a slight kick)
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for a spicy kick)
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup or honey

- Arrange the crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
- Place a piece of bacon on top of each cracker.
- In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, black pepper, and cayenne pepper (if using).
- Sprinkle the brown sugar mixture evenly over the bacon-topped crackers.
- Drizzle maple syrup or honey over the top of each cracker.
- (Optional) Sprinkle chopped pecans on top for extra crunch.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and caramelized. Keep an eye on them in the last few minutes to prevent burning.
